tea life essays
in everyday life or work, we write essays, from remember to remember—a story or a piece of advice, an anecdote or a opinion. the best essays are those that tell us something valuable, and we should seek them out—and read about them—and share with the world.
a tea is just one of many things that can be written—except for its own beauty. different kinds of teas are made differently, but they all have their own characteristics.
here’s a sample tea life essay—a bit of history in my hands:
—a teapot sits in a corner, cold water begins to pour into it.
the air is crisp and cool; the light flickers faintly.
a few leaves fall from the tree—golden brown, delicate and fragile, like a piece of art.
the cup is empty, but there’s something inside.
when i sip that first drink, the taste changes. at first, it’s smooth and easy to swallow—their words are in my hand.
it becomes bitter as the second syllable fades away—until it’s still smooth, until the third comes forward.
and yet, all these teas have their own complexities.
this is a tea life:
different kinds of teas, different ways of making them.
different emotions, different stories.
in this tea life, i can find my own balance—and maybe share my own story with others.
a cup of tea is just one sip, but it has the power to change your day—whether you like it or not.
just like a cup of tea, there’s only four possibilities: hot, cold, bitter, sweet.
but in this life and that of others, we can find different shades of these colors.
a teapot sitting by the fire, its spilling water a reflection of my own soul.
when the water stops pouring, it’s time to take a sip—just like i did before.
for me, that’s my favorite tea life—a blend of coffee and tea—and it keeps me going on and on.
nowhere is this tea different from any other—just like there’s no better time than now for us all to find our own sweet spots.
a cup of tea serves as a reminder: in this life, everything is made for a reason; not every thing can be ignored, but never take it lightly.
and i won’t let the next sip kill me, because that’s just another teapot sitting by the fire.
after all—this is my favorite tea life.
